Method
- Prepare rice and keep warm.
- Slice steak thinly, pat dry, and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in large skillet over high heat.
- Sear steak in batches 1-2 minutes per side until medium-rare. Remove to plate.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining oil and butter.
- Sauté garlic and chili flakes 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
- Add soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil. Simmer 1 minute.
- Return steak to skillet and toss in sauce for 1 minute.
- Assemble bowls with rice, steak, green onions, and sesame seeds.
Notes
Work quickly on high heat for best sear. Adjust chili flakes for desired spice level.
