Ingredients
  

Baked Oatmeal Base
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 2 eggs large
  • 0.33 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup butter melted
  • 1.5 cups apples diced
  • 1.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 baking dish.
  2. In one bowl, combine oats, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Pour wet mixture into dry mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Fold in diced apples.
  6. Pour into prepared baking dish and bake 35–40 minutes until set.
  7. Cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

For extra sweetness, drizzle with maple syrup before serving.
