Ingredients
  

  • 1 angel food cake store-bought or homemade
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp ground cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Cut angel food cake into 1-1.5 inch cubes.
  2. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Heat oil to 350°F in a skillet.
  4. Fry cake cubes in batches until golden, 1-2 minutes per side.
  5. Drain on paper towels, then toss hot bites in cinnamon sugar.
  6. Serve warm, optionally with glaze or dipping sauce.

Notes

For a healthier version, air-fry at 375°F for 5-8 minutes after lightly spraying with oil.
