Ingredients
  

Apple Filling
  • 2 apples peeled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg optional
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Quesadillas
  • 4 flour tortillas
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg and cook until apples soften.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract and remove from heat.
  4. Mix cream cheese and maple syrup until smooth.
  5. Spread cream cheese mixture on half of each tortilla.
  6. Add apple filling and fold tortillas in half.
  7. Cook quesadillas in skillet until golden brown on both sides.
  8. Slice into wedges, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.

Notes

Try adding chopped nuts or peanut butter for extra flavor and texture.
