- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- Whisk dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and spices.
- Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, and applesauce.
- Mix in dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in diced apples.
- Pour into pan and bake 50-65 minutes until toothpick is clean.
- Cool completely on wire rack.
- Whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled cake.
Notes
Use tart apples for best flavor balance. Glaze can be thinned or thickened with more/less milk.
