Ingredients
  

Brownie Layer
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 oz dark chocolate chopped
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Pecan Layer
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate together until smooth.
  3. Whisk in sugars, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Spread brownie batter evenly in pie dish.
  6. Whisk pecan layer ingredients except pecans, then stir in pecans.
  7. Carefully spread pecan mixture over brownie layer.
  8. Bake 45–55 minutes until set. Cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Allow pie to cool fully for best slicing results.
