Ingredients
  

Ramen Base
  • 1 pack Buldak ramen noodles
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 0.25 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
Toppings
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • soft-boiled egg optional for topping

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Mixing spoon

Method
 

  1. Boil water and cook buldak ramen noodles according to package instructions.
  2. Reserve a little noodle water, then drain most of the water.
  3. Return noodles to low heat and mix in the spicy sauce packet.
  4. Add milk, heavy cream, butter, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until creamy.
  5. Lower heat and stir in egg yolk quickly for a silky sauce.
  6. Add parmesan and mozzarella cheese and stir until melted.
  7. Adjust consistency with reserved noodle water if needed.
  8. Top with green onions, sesame seeds, and soft-boiled egg before serving.

Notes

Keep the heat very low when adding the egg yolk to avoid scrambling. Best served immediately while hot and creamy.
