Casserole Base
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage bulk
  • 10 large eggs
  • 1.5 cups whole milk
  • 1.5 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder optional
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
Cheddar Bay Biscuit Topping
  • 1 box Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix 11.36 oz
  • biscuit mix ingredients as per package (water/milk)
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Brown and crumble sausage in a skillet; drain and spread in dish.
  3. Whisk eggs, milk, seasonings, and 1 cup cheese; pour over sausage.
  4. Prepare biscuit mix per package; drop spoonfuls over the top.
  5. Sprinkle with remaining cheese; bake 25-35 minutes until set and golden.
  6. Brush with melted butter and seasoning packet; rest and serve.

Notes

Make ahead: Assemble and refrigerate overnight before baking. Store leftovers in fridge up to 3 days.
