  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
Mix-Ins
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1.5 cups holiday M&Ms

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter with brown and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and 1 cup M&Ms.
  7. Spread dough into pan and press remaining M&Ms on top.
  8. Bake 25–28 minutes until edges are golden and centers soft.
  9. Cool completely before slicing into bars.

Bars taste best fully cooled to maintain chewy texture.
