Ingredients
  

Soup Base
  • 2 cups shredded chicken cooked
  • 1 can hominy drained
  • 6 tomatillos husked
  • 2 green chilies
  • 0.5 onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 0.5 cup cilantro
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Boil tomatillos and chilies until soft.
  2. Blend with onion, garlic, cilantro, and broth.
  3. Cook sauce in oil for a few minutes.
  4. Add broth, chicken, and hominy.
  5. Simmer and season to taste.

Notes

Top with fresh garnishes for best flavor.
