Ingredients
  

Beef Marinade
  • 1.5 lb flank steak thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
Stir Fry
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 0.5 cup beef broth
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce

Equipment

  • Large skillet or wok
  • Mixing bowls

Method
 

  1. Marinate sliced beef with cornstarch, soy sauce, and sesame oil for 15–20 minutes.
  2. Sear beef in batches over high heat until browned and set aside.
  3. Stir-fry peppers and onions until slightly tender.
  4. Add garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant.
  5. Whisk sauce ingredients together and pour into skillet.
  6. Return beef to skillet and simmer until sauce thickens.
  7. Garnish and serve hot over rice.

Notes

For the most tender beef, always slice thinly against the grain and cook quickly over high heat.
