Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter browned
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Brown the butter in a saucepan until golden and nutty, then cool slightly.
  2. Mix browned butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt to form dough.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and scoop dough onto baking sheets.
  8. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers soft.

Notes

Sprinkle flaky sea salt on warm cookies for extra flavor.
