Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
- Mix in hot water or coffee to thin the batter.
- Fill liners 2/3 full and bake for 18–20 minutes.
- Beat butter for 3 minutes, add powdered sugar gradually.
- Add cream and vanilla; beat until fluffy, then tint green.
- Pipe tall tree-shaped swirls onto cooled cupcakes.
- Decorate with sprinkles and star toppers.
Notes
Chill cupcakes for 10 minutes before piping for best stability.
