Ingredients
  

Latte
  • 1-2 shots espresso or 1/2 cup strong coffee
  • 1 cup milk any variety
  • 2-3 Medjool dates pitted and softened
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
Optional Toppings
  • cocoa powder for dusting
  • whipped cream optional

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Microwave or stovetop
  • Coffee maker or espresso machine
  • Mug

Method
 

  1. Soften dates by soaking in hot water for 5 minutes.
  2. Blend softened dates, cocoa powder, vanilla, and half the milk until smooth.
  3. Add espresso or coffee and blend again.
  4. Heat remaining milk and froth if desired.
  5. Pour blended mixture into a mug and add hot milk. Stir softly.
  6. Top with cocoa powder or whipped cream.

Notes

Use oat milk for the creamiest dairy-free version. Blend extra and store the mixture for quick future lattes.
