Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt about 1/8 tsp
Wet Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons milk any type
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips optional

Equipment

  • Large microwave-safe mug (12 oz+)
  • Fork or small whisk

Method

  1. Whisk dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, salt) in a large mug until lump-free.
  2. Stir in milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth batter forms.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  4. Microwave on high for 90 seconds to 2 minutes until set but soft in center.
  5. Rest 1-2 minutes, then top and enjoy warm.

Notes

Microwave times vary—start short and add time as needed. Overcooking makes it dry. Best eaten fresh!
