Ingredients
  

Snowball Cookies
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup pecans or walnuts finely chopped
  • powdered sugar for rolling

  • Hand mixer or stand mixer
  • Baking sheet

Method
 

  1. Cream butter and powdered sugar; add vanilla.
  2. Mix in flour and salt, then fold in nuts.
  3. Chill dough 30–45 minutes.
  4. Roll into balls and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes.
  5. Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar, cool, and roll again.
