Method
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Toast bread cubes for 15–20 minutes until dry.
- Melt butter in a skillet and cook onions and celery until soft.
- Add apples and garlic; cook 5 minutes.
- Season with salt, pepper, sage, thyme, and rosemary.
- Place bread cubes in a bowl; pour vegetable mixture over and toss.
- Fold in dried cranberries.
- Pour broth over mixture until moistened.
- Add beaten eggs if using.
- Transfer to greased baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35–45 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Add extra broth for softer stuffing or leave uncovered longer for a crispier top.
