Ingredients
  

  • 4 eggs room temperature
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened

Equipment

  • Jelly roll pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Beat eggs and sugar until thick and pale.
  2. Fold in dry ingredients and bake in jelly roll pan.
  3. Roll warm cake in towel and cool completely.
  4. Prepare chocolate cream filling.
  5. Fill, roll, frost, and decorate cake.

Notes

Roll cake while warm to prevent cracking.
