Ingredients
  

Main
  • 2 lbs potatoes peeled and chopped
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 3 cups cabbage or kale chopped
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 0.5 cup milk or cream warm
  • 3 green onions sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic optional

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Skillet
  • Potato masher

Method
 

  1. Boil potatoes until tender.
  2. Cook bacon until crispy and crumble.
  3. Sauté greens in butter or bacon fat.
  4. Mash potatoes with butter and warm milk.
  5. Mix in greens, bacon, and onions.
  6. Season and serve hot.

Notes

Use bacon fat for extra flavor and always serve hot with butter.
