Ingredients
  

Steak
  • 1.5 lb flank steak
  • 2 chipotle peppers in adobo
  • 2 tbsp adobo sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 limes juiced
  • 1.5 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Cast-iron skillet or grill
  • Blender or food processor
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Blend all marinade ingredients until smooth.
  2. Marinate steak for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat grill or skillet over high heat.
  4. Cook steak 4–5 minutes per side until charred and cooked to desired doneness.
  5. Rest steak 10 minutes, then slice against the grain.

Notes

Adjust chipotle quantity to control spice level.
