Ingredients
  

Cowboy Butter
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Allow the butter to soften fully at room temperature.
  2. Add softened butter, garlic, parsley, chives, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, lemon zest, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, cayenne, salt, and black pepper to a mixing bowl.
  3. Mix thoroughly using a fork, spatula, or hand mixer until smooth and fully combined.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
  5. Serve immediately in a butter dish or shape into a log using parchment paper.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour if slicing into rounds for serving.
  7. Serve over steak, chicken, seafood, vegetables, potatoes, or bread.

Notes

Fresh herbs and real butter provide the best flavor. Store refrigerated for up to 7 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
