Tea Base
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags or loose-leaf equivalent
  • 1 cup milk whole or preferred milk
  • 1-2 tbsp sugar or honey to taste
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Bring water to a gentle boil, remove from heat, and steep tea for 4–5 minutes.
  2. Warm milk gently in a saucepan without boiling.
  3. Remove tea bags and pour tea into mugs.
  4. Add warm milk, vanilla, and sweetener to taste.
  5. Stir gently and serve warm.

Notes

Use decaf tea for an evening-friendly version.
