Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 tbsp butter softened
  • 0.5 ripe avocado sliced
  • 0.5 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Equipment

  • Skillet or griddle
  • Spatula
  • Butter knife

Method
 

  1. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  2. Place bread butter-side down in a skillet over medium-low heat.
  3. Add cheese, avocado, seasoning, then more cheese.
  4. Top with second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  5. Cook slowly until golden and cheese is melted, flipping once.

Notes

Cook low and slow for best melt and crispness.
