- Add water, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, cloves, ginger, star anise, and nutmeg to a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes to extract spice flavor.
- Add black tea bags or loose tea and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in coconut milk and coconut cream. Heat gently without boiling.
- Sweeten with honey or maple syrup and add vanilla if desired.
- Strain the mixture and serve warm in mugs.
Notes
Avoid boiling after adding coconut milk to maintain a smooth texture.
