- Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and cook until soft and translucent.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
- Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until golden and tender.

- Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream.
- Add Parmesan cheese and thyme, stirring until sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
