- Chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces.
- Cook chopped turkey bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5–6 minutes.
- Remove turkey bacon and set aside, leaving a little drippings in the skillet.
- Add olive oil and butter, then cook sliced onion for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add cabbage, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and optional red pepper flakes.
- Cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and golden on the edges.
- Return crispy turkey bacon to the skillet and toss together.
- Finish with parsley and lemon juice if desired, then serve hot.
Notes
For the best crispy texture, let the cabbage sit between stirs so it can caramelize properly.
