Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 1 orange zest from 1 large orange
  • 0.5 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.125 tsp ground cloves optional
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter cut into cubes

  • Mixing spoon

Method
 

  1. Lightly grease crock pot insert.
  2. Add cranberries, sugars, orange zest, and orange juice.
  3. Stir in spices and salt.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours.
  5. Mash or blend to desired smoothness.
  6. Stir in butter and vanilla.
  7. Cook 15–30 minutes more for butter to melt.
  8. Cool and store in jars; serve at room temperature.

Keeps up to 2 weeks refrigerated or freeze up to 3 months.
