Method
- In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and yeast. Add water and olive oil, stir until sticky dough forms.
- Cover bowl with plastic wrap or towel and let rise 12–18 hours until bubbly.
- Flour work surface and shape dough into a round loaf.
- Place dough on parchment paper, cover loosely, and let rest 30–60 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C) with Dutch oven inside.
- Transfer dough with parchment into hot Dutch oven, cover, and bake 30 minutes.
- Remove lid and bake 15–20 minutes until deep golden brown.
- Cool on wire rack at least 30 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For added flavor, sprinkle herbs or seeds on top before baking.
