Ingredients
  

Crostini
  • 1 French baguette sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for brushing
Mushroom Topping
  • 12 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush baguette slices with olive oil and bake 7–8 minutes until crisp.
  2. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms and cook 6–8 minutes until browned.
  4. Stir in garlic and thyme; cook 1 minute more.
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Add Parmesan if using.
  6. Spoon warm mushrooms onto crostini and garnish with thyme.

Notes

For extra richness, drizzle with truffle oil before serving.
