Method
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt dark chocolate until smooth. Stir in half the peppermint extract.
- Spread dark chocolate onto the baking sheet and chill 12–15 minutes until just set.
- Melt white chocolate gently and stir in the remaining peppermint extract.
- Pour white chocolate over the dark layer and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle crushed candy canes over the top and press lightly.
- Chill for 20–30 minutes until fully set.
- Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
Notes
Chill the chocolate layers only until firm—not icy cold—to prevent separation.
