Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour heat-treated
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk as needed
  • 1 tsp red gel food coloring or more for color
  • 1 pinch salt
Decoration
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips for drizzle
  • 0.25 cup holiday sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Heat-treat flour at 350°F for 5–7 minutes and allow to cool completely.
  2. Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  3. Add vanilla, cocoa powder, milk, and red food coloring; mix well.
  4. Stir in cooled flour and salt to form a dough.
  5. Roll dough into small balls and place on parchment-lined tray.
  6. Chill for 20–30 minutes.
  7. Melt white chocolate and drizzle over chilled bites.
  8. Add sprinkles and chill until set.

Notes

Use gel food coloring for the brightest red color. Keep refrigerated for best texture.
