Easy Sparkling Cranberries

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar for syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar for coating

  • Slotted spoon
  • Mixing bowls

Method
 

  1. Heat 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water until dissolved to make simple syrup.
  2. Add cranberries to warm syrup and soak for 10 minutes.
  3. Transfer cranberries to a wire rack and dry 1 hour.
  4. Roll tacky cranberries in sugar to coat.
  5. Let dry 20–30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra sparkle, roll cranberries twice in sugar.
