Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream softened butter with sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg, vanilla extract, and strawberries until combined.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually fold into wet ingredients.
- Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place on baking sheets.
- Bake 12–15 minutes until edges are set and lightly golden.
- Cool 5 minutes on baking sheets, then transfer to wire racks.
Notes
Optional: roll dough balls in powdered sugar for a crackled surface.
