Macaron Shells
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1.75 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 egg whites room temperature
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
Chocolate Buttercream
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder
  • 2-3 tbsp heavy cream

Method
 

  1. Prepare macaron batter and pipe shells.
  2. Rest shells and bake until set.
  3. Prepare chocolate buttercream.
  4. Fill, sandwich, and decorate macarons.
