Ingredients
  

Rice Krispie Treat Balls
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
White Chocolate Coating
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips or wafers
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil optional
Decorations
  • festive sprinkles

  • Large pot
  • Mixing bowls
  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and salt. Add Rice Krispies and mix to coat.
  3. Butter hands and roll mixture into 1–2 inch balls. Place on parchment-lined tray.
  4. Melt white chocolate in the microwave in 20–30 second intervals, adding coconut oil if needed.
  5. Dip each ball into the melted chocolate or drizzle on top.
  6. Top with festive sprinkles and allow chocolate to set before serving.

Notes

For peppermint variation, add peppermint extract and crushed candy cane.
