Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form and sugar dissolves.
- Fold in vanilla, salt, chocolate chips, and nuts.
- Drop spoonfuls onto baking sheets.
- Place in oven, turn off heat, and leave overnight (8-10 hours).
- Remove and store in airtight container.
Notes
For best results, make on a dry day to avoid stickiness. Customize with different nuts or chips.
