Ingredients
  

Stir Fry
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 can chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions sliced

Equipment

  • Wok or large skillet
  • Cutting board
  • Chef knife
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add broccoli florets and stir fry for 4–5 minutes.
  4. Add chickpeas and cook another 3–4 minutes.
  5. Mix soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
  6. Pour sauce into the skillet and toss everything to coat.
  7. Cook 2–3 minutes until sauce slightly thickens.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

Serve with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
