Ingredients
  

Shrimp & Sauce
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika optional
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 lemon juiced
  • parsley chopped, for garnish
Rice
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups water or chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Medium pot
  • Spatula
  • Tongs

Method
 

  1. Cook rice with water or broth and salt until tender; fluff and set aside.
  2. Pat shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  3. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sauté garlic 30 seconds; add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink.
  5. Squeeze lemon juice over shrimp and stir to coat in garlic butter.
  6. Serve shrimp over cooked rice; garnish with parsley.

Notes

Add vegetables for a complete meal; adjust seasoning to taste.
