Ingredients
  

Wellness Shot Blend
  • 0.5 cup fresh ginger root peeled and chopped
  • 0.33 cup fresh turmeric root peeled and chopped
  • 3 large lemons freshly squeezed
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cups water
  • 0.125 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp ground turmeric optional
  • ice cubes optional for serving

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Glass bottles or jar
  • Measuring cups

Method
 

  1. Peel and roughly chop the fresh ginger and turmeric roots.
  2. Add ginger, turmeric, lemon juice, honey, water, black pepper, and optional ground turmeric to a blender.
  3. Blend on high speed for 1–2 minutes until smooth.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or measuring cup.
  5. Press the liquid through the strainer with a spoon, leaving the pulp behind.
  6. Transfer the liquid into small glass bottles or a sealed jar.
  7. Chill before serving.
  8. Shake well and enjoy 1 small shot per serving.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days and shake before each serving for best freshness.
