  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Equipment

  • Waffle iron
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups

Method

  1. Preheat waffle iron and lightly grease with nonstick spray.
  2. Combine hashbrowns, ham, cheese, eggs, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and melted butter in a large bowl.
  3. Mix thoroughly until evenly combined.
  4. Scoop mixture into waffle iron and spread evenly without overfilling.
  5. Cook for 5–7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Carefully remove and repeat with remaining mixture.
  7. Serve warm with sour cream and fresh chives.

Notes

For the crispiest waffles, squeeze as much moisture as possible from the hashbrowns before mixing. Reheat leftovers in the toaster oven or air fryer for best texture.
