Crust
  • 3 cups hash browns thawed and drained
  • 3 tbsp butter melted
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
Filling
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 0.25 cup green onions chopped
  • 0.25 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp paprika

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a pie dish.
  2. Mix hash browns with butter, salt, and pepper, then press into dish.
  3. Bake crust for 20–25 minutes until crispy.
  4. Whisk eggs, cream, milk, and spices.
  5. Add bacon, cheese, and onions to crust.
  6. Pour egg mixture over fillings.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 35–40 minutes until set.
  8. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Drain hash browns well for a crispy crust. Let quiche rest before slicing.
