- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 9-inch tart pan.
- Whisk dry ingredients: flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt, spices.
- Cream butter and sugar. Add molasses, yolk, vanilla.
- Mix in dry ingredients to form dough. Press into tart pan.
- Bake 18-22 minutes until set. Cool completely.
- Heat cream to simmer. Pour over chopped chocolate. Let stand, then stir smooth with butter, vanilla, salt.
- Pour ganache into cooled crust. Refrigerate at least 4 hours.
- Garnish and serve chilled or at room temperature.
