Method
- Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment and lightly grease.
- Combine fruit juice and sprinkle gelatin on top; let bloom for 5 minutes.
- Add sugar and heat over medium until dissolved, stirring constantly.
- Add optional food coloring.
- Pour mixture into prepared dish and allow to set for 2–3 hours.
- Cut into shapes and roll in granulated sugar.
Notes
Allow gumdrops to sit uncovered for a few hours after coating for a firmer texture.
