Homemade Orange Cinnamon Iced Tea

Ingredients
  

Iced Tea Base
  • 4 cups hot water
  • 4 black tea bags or 2 tbsp loose tea
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp honey or sugar optional, to taste
  • 2 cups cold water or ice
  • orange slices for garnish

Equipment

  • Pitcher
  • Saucepan
  • Strainer (optional)
  • Serving glasses

Method
 

  1. Steep tea bags in hot water for 5 minutes; remove bags.
  2. Add orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and sweetener; steep 10–15 minutes.
  3. Remove cinnamon; transfer to pitcher and add cold water or ice.
  4. Chill completely and serve over ice with fresh orange slices.

Notes

Remove orange slices after 24 hours to prevent bitterness.
