Homemade Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 1.5 cups milk whole or plant-based
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tbsp sugar, honey, or maple syrup to taste

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Measuring cups

Method
 

  1. Bring water to a boil and simmer cinnamon stick for 3–4 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat, add tea bags, and steep for 4–5 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bags and cinnamon stick.
  4. Stir in milk and gently warm without boiling.
  5. Add vanilla and sweetener to taste.
  6. Whisk lightly and serve hot.

Notes

Do not boil after adding milk to prevent curdling and preserve flavor.
