Ingredients
  

Main
  • 1.5 lbs baby potatoes
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.33 cup soy sauce
  • 0.33 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup or honey optional
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds toasted
  • 2 green onions sliced

Equipment

  • Saucepan or skillet
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté potatoes until lightly coated.
  2. Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  3. Add soy sauce, water, sugar, and syrup. Bring to a boil.
  4. Simmer uncovered until potatoes are tender and sauce thickens.
  5. Finish with sesame oil and garnish before serving.

Notes

Tastes even better after resting overnight.
