Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 carrots diced
  • 2 celery stalks diced
  • 15 oz kidney beans drained
  • 15 oz cannellini beans drained
  • 14.5 oz diced tomatoes
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ditalini pasta

Equipment

  • Large pot or Dutch oven
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Brown ground beef in olive oil in a large pot.
  2. Add onion, carrots, and celery and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in garlic, tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth, water, and beans.
  4. Season and simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Add pasta and cook until tender.

Notes

For best leftovers, cook pasta separately.
