Ingredients
  

Spaghetti & Beef
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bell pepper diced, red or green
  • 14.5 oz diced tomatoes canned
  • 8 oz tomato sauce canned
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 8 oz spaghetti uncooked
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper optional
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Method
 

  1. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat and drain excess fat.
  2. Add diced onion, garlic, and bell pepper; sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, and spices.
  4. Add uncooked spaghetti, press into liquid, bring to a boil, then simmer until tender and most liquid is absorbed.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, cover and let melt.
  6. Stir gently, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

Add extra vegetables or beans for more heartiness. Adjust spice to taste.
