Ingredients
  

Cake Batter
  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 orange zest from oranges
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 0.33 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 0.5 cup orange juice fresh
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease baking molds.
  2. Whisk dry ingredients with orange zest.
  3. Mix butter, honey, and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs, orange juice, and ginger.
  5. Fold in dry ingredients gently.
  6. Fill molds and bake 18–22 minutes.
  7. Cool slightly and drizzle with honey.

Notes

Honey cakes improve in flavor after resting overnight.
