Ingredients
  

Casserole
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups pancake mix
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 2 eggs large
  • 0.25 cup maple syrup
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease baking dish.
  2. Cook sausage until browned; drain and spread in dish.
  3. Whisk pancake mix, milk, eggs, butter, syrup, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour batter over sausage and top with cheese if using.
  5. Bake 30–35 minutes until golden and set.
  6. Rest briefly, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Serve with extra maple syrup if desired.
